Recently, the project of the research and software development on a model of macro-site selection for a large clean energy base at the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization Group (GEIDCO) that was undertaken by POWERCHINA Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited (POWERCHINA Chengdu hereinafter) passed final acceptance after combined online & offline examinations at both Chengdu and Beijing locations.
Project Department presented a detailed report on the project achievement and its performance at the final acceptance ceremony. Because the acceptance materials were sufficient enough that satisfied all the requirements of the contract, experts of the acceptance team unanimously approved the acceptance and highly affirmed the research results; they believed that the project report was prepared by sufficient data and rigorous logic with a clear organizational structure, and the software platform was built with scientific rational and had vast application scenarios.
The project integrated advanced technologies in big data, artificial intelligence, geographic information, and 3D visual presentation, etc. to build a digital platform for site selection with its economic assessment model based on a basic database that covers the entire clean energy bases globally. This project is proven to be able to effectively improve the planning efficiency of large energy base. The successful acceptance of this project demonstrated again the professional strength of POWERCHINA Chengdu in digitalization of new energies and artificial intelligent fields, enhanced the corporate influence in relevant business sectors, and laid a solid foundation for POWERCHINA Chengdu to further its adventures in energy digitalization and smart city.
