Recently, the excavation of Jinsha River’s Yebatan   hydropower station which was surveyed and designed by Powerchina Chengdu, was   up to 2,677 meters above the riverbed. The excavation of dam’s foundation   surface was completed, and now is undergoing acceptance work.

Since the official start of Yebatan Hydropower Station in   2017, the company's various professions have worked together to overcome many   difficulties such as high cold and lack of oxygen, the quake lake of Baige,   tightly focus on the key and difficult issues of engineering design to carry   out in-depth technical research, effectively solving all kinds of technical   problems encountered in the technical application stage, for the successful   completion of the dam’s foundation surface excavation to provide a solid and   strong technical support and on-site services.

Yebatan Hydropower Station is the largest hydropower   project under construction in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, with a   concrete hyperbolic arch dam of 217 meters in height, an installed capacity   of 2,240 MW and an average multi-year power generation of 10.205 billion   kWh.  The first unit is planned to   generate electricity in 2025 and the whole station will be completed in 2026.   The successful completion of the excavation of the foundation surface of the   dam marks the imminent entry of the dam construction into the foundation   treatment and concrete pouring process, laying a solid foundation for the   completion and commissioning in 2026.
