On August 12th, Central Asia Branch held its inauguration ceremony in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He Yanfeng, Chairman of PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited(hereinafter referred to as the Company), attended the event. Representatives from China Consulate in Almaty, Petro Kazakhstan Inc.,, Bank of China Kazakhstan, Aspan Energo LLP, and other business partners were also present at the ceremony; Ning Jie, Chief Accountant, Ju Qifeng, Deputy General Manager, and Senior Consultant of the Company, He Changling witnessed the inauguration ceremony.

In his speech, He Yanfeng stated that the Company has been both a practitioner and beneficiary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and high-quality development of bilateral relations between China and Kazakhstan. Over the past two decades, the Company devoted itself to the development of clean energy in Central Asia and made great achievements  leveraging its technical capabilities and well understanding of the market. The Company firmly implements the "three-stage" overseas business developing strategy of PowerChina Corporation (the parent company) in which localization falls on the second stage. As the  first overseas-localized branch granted with not only the responsibility of marketing but also project implementation, its establishment holds significant strategical importance and marks the Company’s international business turning to localized development stage. When talking about the development prospects of the Central Asia Branch, He Yanfeng addressed that it is necessary to give full play to its own advantages, continue deepening market engagement, and to establish sound corporate image. He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation, expanding the "circle of friends”, engaging in deep collaboration for mutual benefits, nurturing localized talent, and fostering new development vitality. He highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility, with a focus on better serving regional socio-economic development and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). He called on the Central Asia Branch to be a leader in localized development, to actively adapt to the new normal, seize new opportunities, embrace new challenges, and demonstrate new achievements, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of the Company's international business and achieving new successes.

During the inauguration ceremony, the head of the Central Asia Branch delivered a speech, expressing commitment to the Company's strategical direction; He stated Central Asia Branch would adhere to the mission, stay true to the original aspirations, and continuously strengthen cooperation with partners in Kazakhstan and along the region. Central Asia Branch is committed to enhance service capabilities and market competitiveness, remain focused on the set objectives, work diligently, and effectively maintain localized operations. Central Asia Branch will make greater contributions to the company's strategical transformation and high-quality development of its international business.

The ceremony was also attended by relevant persons in charge of the Company Office/Board Office, Overseas Business Department, Engineering Survey and Design Branch, Engineering Construction Branch, Renewable Energy Engineering Branch，Kazhydro and all members of Central Asian Branch.
