On December 31, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Arkalyk 50MW Wind Power Project in Kazakhstan which is another general contrating project of PowerChina Chengdu(Hereinafter referred to as the Company), was held at the construction site. Yang Fugang, General Manager of Aspan Energo LLP, attended the ceremony and announced the commencement of the project. On the same day, Aspan Energo LLP issued the NTP, marking the full execution phase of the project.

The Arkalyk 50MW Wind Power Project is the general contracting project of the PowerChina Chengdu to start construction in Kazakhstan again this year after the Khromtau 150MW Wind Power Project, which fully demonstrates the Company's competitiveness and rapid response ability in the Kazakhstan market. Since the winning of the bid, the Company has worked together to promote the integration of marketing and execution team, and successfully completed a series of work such as EPC contract negotiation, subcontractor selection, territorial construction permit, temporary construction of the project site, issuance of international letter of guarantee, and foreign exchange collection of advance payment settlement, so as to facilitate the project signing and construction.

The project is located about 9 kilometers southeast of Arkalyk, Kostanay State, 460 kilometers away from the state capital Kostanay City, and about 550 kilometers west of the capital Astana City, with a total of 8 wind turbines with 6.25 MW each turbine, and a 110 kV substation, 1 7.9 km transmission line and substation incoming line interval.

The relevant persons in charge of the project owner Aspan Energo LLP, the supervision company Kaz Build Expert, Central Asia Branch of PowerChina Chengdu and the main subcontractor ABK attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
