Recently, the PowerChina Chengdu(Hereinafter referred to as the Company) signed the EPC contract for the Vetrozelana 300 MW wind farm project with PowerChina Resources Ltd. and CWP Europe in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Wang Bin, General Manager of PowerChina, attended and witnessed the signing ceremony. And the following people also attended the ceremony: Liu Shaoquan, General Manager of the Overseas Business Department of PowerChina, Deputy General Manager of PowerChina International Group Ltd. and General Manager of the PowerChina Eurasia; Yang Tianfu, Director and General Manager of PowerChina Resources Ltd.; Alex Sekulovic, COO and CFO of CWP Europe; Zhang Shishu, General Manager of PowerChina Chengdu; Ju Qifeng, Deputy General Manager of PowerChina Chengdu.

Wang Bin said that PowerChina as the pioneer in the construction of clean energy in the world, has always been committed to global carbon emission reduction actions, and the Vetrozelana 300 MW wind farm project will help Serbia achieve the national strategy of 30% renewable energy by 2030. He stressed that the Vetrozelana 300 MW wind farm project is the first new energy wind power project invested by PowerChina in Serbia, and is a milestone for PowerChina to deepen its layout in the Central and Eastern European market, which is of great significance. It is hoped that all parties will actively fulfill their responsibilities and strive to build the project into a model project for China- Serbia green energy cooperation, and write a green new chapter for the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between the two countries.

Zhang Shishu thanked the group and the project owner for their trust in PowerChina Chengdu, he said that the project is a key cooperation project between China and Serbia in the field of clean energy, PowerChina Chengdu feels a great responsibility and will strengthen resource investment, do a good job in performance planning, ensure quality and safety, and build the project into a new energy benchmark in the Balkan region.

At the end of the ceremony, Yang Tianfu presented Zhang Shishu with an oil painting on the theme of the Ivovik Wind Farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was invested by PowerChina Resources Ltd. and constructed in EPC mode for power generation by PowerChina Chengdu. Yang Tianfu said that he looks forward to continuing to deepen cooperation with PowerChina Chengdu in the green energy transition of the Balkan region by taking the Vetrozelana project as an opportunity, and hopes that the two sides will continue to write a new chapter of cooperation in the field of overseas new energy in the future.
