At 2:30 am on July 20th, serious flood disaster in mountain occurred due to heavy rain in Malie Township, Hanyuan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province and other places, resulted in destroys and interruptions to local communications, roads and bridges. At 3 o'clock in the morning, the Hanyuan Relocation Project Office of POWERCHINAPOWERCHINA Chengdu received the assignments from the Party Committee & local government of Hanyuan County to carry out flood relief work in the badly affected Wanli Industrial Park and other places.

Upon receiving the order, POWERCHINA Chengdu immediately organized engineers to estimate the scale and scope of the affected areas, and simulated the possible situation. At 6 o'clock in the morning, after the rainfall intensity decreased slightly, the project office conducted site survey and drone inspection to the affected areas such as Shenxigou Bridge and Wanli Industrial Park, mobilized excavators and other equipment to dredge the river under the Shenxigou Bridge. At 8 o 'clock in the evening, the river dredging was initially completed.

In Wanli Industrial Park of 30 kilometers of roads in total, there were more than 10 road sections destroyed and 4 bridges broken. In the face of the crisis situation that the flood continued to wash away the roadbed, from 10 am on the 20th, POWERCHINA Chengdu conducted comprehensive inspections of the disaster situation, and dispatched technical personnel to the site. At 8 pm, the professional and technical personnel arrived to conduct on-site investigation of the washed road sections and dangerous areas, analyzed the situation at the site, and formulated flood relief plans. At 3 am on the 21st, the company has completed the emergency relief plan of each disaster point in the affected area arranged by the local government, and reported it to the Party Committee and the local government of Hanyuan County.
